Getting Started
Band Me Up is a platform that helps bands and musicians create professional websites to showcase their music, tour dates, photos, videos, and connect with fans. Think of it as your band's home on the internet - all in one place.
No technical skills required! Our platform is designed to be simple and intuitive. Just fill in your band information, upload your content, and you're ready to go. No coding, no complicated setup.
Most bands complete their initial setup in 15-30 minutes. You can start with the basics (band name, bio, logo) and add more content (music, events, photos) over time.
Yes! Your site is private by default. You can build and preview everything before making it public. When you're ready, just toggle the "Publish" switch in your settings.
Pricing & Billing
We offer a monthly subscription starting at £10 month (or equivalent in USD, EUR, AUD depending on your location). This includes hosting, custom domain support, unlimited music streaming, and all features.
Yes! All new bands get a 14-day free trial. You can build your entire site, upload content, and try all features with no charge. Your payment method is required upfront, but you won't be charged until the trial ends.
You'll be charged on the 15th day after you create your account (after your 14-day free trial ends). After that, you'll be billed monthly on the same date each month.
Absolutely! You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Your site will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then it will become private (not deleted, just not publicly visible).
When you cancel, you won't be charged again, and your site stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your site becomes private (fans can't visit it), but your content is safely stored. You can reactivate anytime by resubscribing.
Due to the 14-day free trial, we don't offer refunds for subscription fees. The trial gives you plenty of time to test everything before committing. If you have issues with the service, please contact us and we'll work to resolve them.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe. Payments are processed securely, and we never see or store your card details.
Yes! Click "Manage Subscription" in your band settings to access the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can update your payment method, view invoices, and manage billing.
Features & Content
You can add: music tracks (MP3), tour dates/events, photo galleries, videos (YouTube links), band member profiles, testimonials/reviews, social media links, a biography, Electronic Press Kit (EPK), and contact forms for fans.
You can upload as many tracks as you need. Each track must be under 10MB and in MP3 format. We recommend 192-256kbps for best quality and file size balance.
Yes! By uploading music, you confirm you own the rights or have permission to publish it. Unauthorised use of copyrighted material is prohibited and may result in account termination.
Not directly at the moment. However, you can add links to external platforms like Bandcamp, Big Cartel, or your online store. E-commerce features are planned for the future.
An EPK is a professional one-page document with your band's key information (bio, press photos, music links, tour dates, contact info) designed for promoters, venues, and media. Band Me Up auto-generates an EPK from your existing content.
Yes! Add YouTube video links and they'll appear as embedded players on your site. We currently support YouTube - other platforms may be added in the future.
Fans can message you through a contact form on your public page. Messages are stored in your admin dashboard under "Messages". You'll receive an email notification for new messages.
Custom Domains
Yes! You can connect a custom domain (like www.yourband.com) to your Band Me Up site. You'll need to purchase the domain separately from a domain registrar (like Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.) and configure DNS settings.
No, we don't sell domain names. You need to register your domain with a domain registrar. Once you have it, we provide instructions on how to connect it to your band site.
Your site will be accessible via your Band Me Up subdomain (band me up.com/band/your-band-name). This works perfectly fine - custom domains are optional!
Yes! All sites (both custom domains and Band Me Up subdomains) automatically have HTTPS encryption for security.
Integrations
We integrate with Patreon (display membership tiers), Bandsintown (auto-import tour dates), and Mailchimp (collect email subscribers). All integrations are optional and can be enabled in your settings.
Connect your Patreon account via OAuth, and we'll display your membership tiers on your band page. Fans can see your tier options, pricing, and benefits, then click through to join on Patreon. It's a great way to promote your supporter tiers and encourage more support.
Yes! Connect your Bandsintown account with your API key, and we'll automatically sync your upcoming tour dates every 6 hours. Update your dates on Bandsintown, and they'll appear on your band site.
No coding needed! Just enter your Mailchimp API key and Audience ID in settings, and a signup form will appear on your public page. Fans can subscribe, and Mailchimp handles the confirmation emails.
