The Guy Behind Band Me Up
Every page, every feature, every email — one person.
Hi, I'm Alex.
I play in a band. I've also got a full-time job and two kids under six who think 6am is a perfectly reasonable time to start the day. Band Me Up gets built in the gaps — evenings, nap times, and the odd stolen hour — because I genuinely love making it.

Why This Exists
For years I was the one in my band doing the boring stuff. Chasing availability through a group chat that never, ever ends. Updating seven different platforms every time we booked a gig, like a caffeinated octopus. None of the website builders out there felt like they were made by anyone who'd actually loaded a van at 1am — so I built one that was.

That's the whole origin story. No boardroom, no pitch deck. Just a musician who got fed up with the faff.
It's Just Me Back Here
That might sound like a warning. It's actually the best thing about the place.
When you reply to an email or send a message through the contact form, it lands with me — the person who can actually fix your problem or build your idea. No ticket numbers, no "your call is important to us", no support maze.

It also means Band Me Up only grows in directions that are genuinely useful. There's no growth team and no investor asking for numbers. Just bands telling me what would make their lives easier, and me building it after the kids are asleep.
Want to Help?
People sometimes ask how they can support the project. Honestly, it's simple:
Use it
The subscription is £7/month — the price of a couple of beers — and every band on board buys me a few more of those stolen hours to keep building it.
Tell a band
One musician recommending Band Me Up to another is worth more than any advert I could buy. If it's earned it, pass it on — the group chat, the green room, wherever bands talk.
Send feedback
Good or bad — especially the bad. Every message makes it better for the next band. support@bandmeup.com or chat to me live on Discord (providing I'm not asleep).
Thanks for reading this far. If any of it rang true — the never-ending group chat, the seven platforms, the 1am van — then Band Me Up was built for your band, and I'd genuinely love to see you in there.
And if you were just having a nose around, that's fine too. Either way, go play something loud.

— Alex
